At Blue Oxide, we believe that the future of the Web revolves around the successful implementation of XML Web services. The XML Web services vision of platform-agnostic, loosely-coupled components sharing information is integral to the new decentralized, mobile Internet.
With the advent of the World Wide Web, the information industry became distracted by the ability to offer human-readable information over the Internet medium. Many companies were started—and many failed—on the assumption that browsers were the "killer app" for the Internet. Before HTML existed, however, the Internet was primarily used as an information transfer medium for moving information, that wasn't necessarily intended to be viewed directly, between various companies or research facilities. With XML Web services, the Internet is returning to its true strength—information sharing—and XML Web services provide a flexible, standardized, loosely-coupled mechanism for the transfer of that information.
Our goal is to help companies with existing knowledge assets create XML documents and XML Web service interfaces for those assets as easily as possible. Our software manages the design process for these structures and interfaces, allowing stakeholders to work together from across the room or across the world to build structures that everyone can agree on.
